This neighborhood bakery and cafe was a wonderful feature of the neighborhood. Clearly a local hangout it always had 5-10 customers in it, and was remarkably affordable in price. (Stark contrast to anything closer to Ponte Vecchio) delicious cookies and pastries all 0.5-2 euro, and sandwiches to take away for lunch. Highly recommended if you want a great value stop!

It's a wonderful little pastry shop in a neighborhood south of the Arno river, opposite the tourist-heavy downtown Florence. My wife and I went there in mornings during our brief stay in Florence and had our morning espresso and cappuccino with many residents of the neighborhood. The staff were pleasant and patient as we practiced ordering our breakfast in Italian. Great coffee, great food, and good people. Highly recommended if you're in the area.
